Small Town McCaysville

unless you’re on the Tennessee side, then you’re in small town Copperhill! Crossing the bridge changes everything 🤣

Today these two small American towns are the single destination for tourists who travel from Blue Ridge Georgia on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Below are just a few shops I peeked in.

along with tons of cute shops, there are plenty of places to eat. Here are just a few,

We ate at Twisted Tomato but the Burra Burra which shares the patio is named after the largest copper mine in the area. Below are a couple more restaurants to try. Katz Deli, and The Cuban Lady.

For about 140 years the Ducktown, Copperhill, MaCaysville area was mined heavily for copper, the last mine closing in 1987. The area has changed a lot from it"s copper mining days back in 1843.

Today it offers tourists the look and feel of small town America with merchandise and food geared toward the 21 century tourist. \
